I was hoping that someone out there may be familiar with typical problems on
the Amiga using Large capacity Hard Drives. I have been exeriencing a problem
for the last few months (since installing a 1 gig hard drive into my
system) that is resulting in alot of errors when transfering images from Disk
to tape. Basically what occurs is that the computer and hard drive
"locks" randomly on what seems to be larger files (600k and over), this
leads to Half loaded pictures. I have reconfigured my system (an A3000)
so that the hard drives are unit 0 and 1, terminated the last drive (the
1 gig drive), set the maximum transfer rate to that specified in the 3.1
upgrade manual, increased the Cache (through Hard Drive ToolBox) to the point
of being ridiculous. All of this to no avail... Is there something that
I am missing? Thanks for any replies to this message!
